HELP HABIBA RUHINA AKTAR BEAT TERMINAL CANCER
Donation protected
Assalamu Alaikum (Peace be upon you),
Please help us raise £45,000 for private healthcare for our beloved sister Habiba/Ruhina Aktar, who remains in a terminal condition as a result of her breast cancer metastasizing to the brain.
Despite having surgery and radiotherapy to remove two brain tumours in September 2022, both tumours have suddenly returned in just a few short months. The cancer has also spread to the rest of her brain with new tumours forming.
Our sister’s cancer is very aggressive, and doctors have said she only has a few months to live again. Your donation will go towards private, specialist medical treatment that can only be received abroad.
And whoever saves the life of a person is as if he has saved the life of all humankind" [Quran 5: 32]
HABIBA'S JOURNEY
Habiba has been tested repeatedly with her health. On her due date in 2015, she discovered that her baby had died inside her womb. This was a traumatic experience, but it did not deter her from trusting Allah's plan, and she has since been blessed with two beautiful children, Alhamdullilah.
In 2020, Habiba was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the tender age of 37, and after several treatments, she was deemed cancer free.
After just one year in remission, in 2022, we received another shocking diagnosis of two brain tumours as a result of the breast cancer migrating to the brain, and she was given a few short months to live if both tumors were not removed.
Her scans in December 2022 appeared clear after major brain surgery and radiosurgery in September 2022, but still showed some residual cancer cells.
Most recently, in March 2023, she had a terrible collapse and was rushed to hospital where scans revealed that the previous tumours had returned and the cancer had now spread to the rest of the brain.
Her current prognosis is that she does not have long to live, even with the treatment options here in the UK. Due to this, we are looking at private and alternative treatment options.
As you might expect, this news has been extremely difficult for her family and loved ones, especially her two small children, Yusuf (6 years old) and Hafsa (5 years old).
We are incredibly grateful for the love and support that we have already gotten, and we hope that you will be able to assist us further by helping her with her treatment plan.
If Allah wills, we are hopeful for a full recovery.
