Help Gypsy's Cafe get back on its feet

Donation protected
My name is Susan, and my big sister Rebecca and her husband Shannon and two daughters have lost their beloved cafe, their pride and joy, Gypsy's Cafe, in the catastrophic floods that have destroyed Coraki.

Gypsy's Cafe, located on Richmond Terrace in Coraki right opposite where the Richmond and Wilson Rivers meet suffered disastrous flood damage when the rivers rose to unprecedented levels just over a week ago.

Coraki has been severely impacted by this significant weather event, and the Gypsy's team is keen to get up and running as soon as possible, not only for their own livelihood but to also give everyone hope that this little town can recover from such a disaster. They are in the process of applying for the small business grant however they must pay for replacement equipment/repairs upfront and then await reimbursement rather than receiving the grant to enable them to make the required purchases and repairs. Like many people and small business owners, they are not in a position to do that, particularly after the pandemic years.

Some of the things they are needing to do include resurfacing the floors, replacing all tables and chairs, several fridges and freezers, their dishwasher, all packaging and a lot of stock was lost, and their Nissan Navara also went under water (you can see it in the photograph at the back of the store. These are just some of the things they need.

Understandably this is a time of total loss and despair for so many people, any amount you can spare would be very gratefully received and will help get Gypsy's feeding Coraki and surrounds sooner.

Their total repair bill is in the vicinity of $35,600 (excluding the Navara which is about $14000). They have applied for a $15,000 from small business grant which is the maximum they can get without having to provide receipts/pay up front which they can't do (otherwise they could get up to $50k reimbursed).
So assuming that grant is paid we are seeking to raise the difference.

This shop is their pride and joy since the opened in August last year and it is devastating to see all their hard work swept away by this natural disaster.
