Help Gypsy’s Brew get through

Hey! It’s Rhiannon and Bianca here, we are the founders of ‘Gypsy’s Brew Co’, a family run mobile specialty Coffee Van who can usually be found serving the wonderful Crookes community on the beautiful Bole Hills Park in Sheffield!

We met and fell in love as neighbours during lockdown 2020 and fast forward 2 years we are now married with a beautiful family consisting of a musical toddler, our gorgeous doodle Gypsy (the famous name-sake of the business and studious CEO) and our house surfing cat Molly!

We launched Gypsy’s Brew 1 year ago with the sole aim to create a magical, plant-based beacon of good vibes in our beloved community and to follow our dreams to create a family business infused with our yogic ethos!

Since setting up we have had the best time immersing ourselves in the Crookes fold and have been so welcomed! We have had the most beautiful feedback with customers telling us we provide more than just coffee and cakes and that we are a safe and welcoming space to unwind, chat and while away some time.

Our journey so far has been full of highs and lows with bustling sunny days and cosy winters scenes matched with high force gales and snow causing us to keep our vintage van closed and snuggled up.

Unfortunately it is more than the weather we are battling lately. Footfall in our beloved park has dropped significantly likely due to past postponed plans finally coming to fruition post pandemic and the cost of living crisis having us all feeling the pinch. As we are a start up business without any cushion we are now unsure of our future as we struggle to balance the books.

This week one of our lovely regulars had us in tears as he set up a go fund me page of his own to raise money to keep us going. This really touched our hearts and inspired us to reach out to the community to see if we could raise some support to push us through the next few months as we try to find ways to enhance, diversify and to stay in the game so that we can continue to provide the service that we do both in the park and at events.

So here we are, pride aside asking for any donations you would like to and are able to give to help us push through the next few months.

We are aiming for a target of £5,000 which would really help us to get on top of some mounting invoices and to take a chip out of some of our set up costs, reducing our monthly business costs. If by a miracle we raised more than that we would use this towards reconfiguring the interior of Amelie (Our van) to include a bar which would offer us more versatility for hireable events such as weddings and festivals, giving us more alternative sources of income when footfall in the park is low.

We want to remain open and honest with you all and we cannot guarantee the future of Gypsy’s Brew due to the uncertainty of current times but if we are able to create a little cushion, we can guarantee that we will do everything we can to keep going!
