Hi all - this is an extremely hard action for me to take but in order to apply for grants this is a requirement.

I urgently need help to continue vet care for my cat Gwil.

In January my youngest cat Poof was diagnosed with lymphoma after a surgery to remove a tumor. I spent thousands to diagnose his terminal condition and we are treating him with chemotherapy but as you can imagine it is not cheap and has put a strain on my finances as a student.

To afford his care I am working multiple jobs (while going to grad school full time) I have opened and charged multiple credit cards. I have borrowed from my family and I am donating my plasma.

However, yesterday, my other cat Gwil was rushed to urgent care where she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She needed to be transferred to a hospital for overnight care but I did not have the means after paying for Poof’s surgery and chemotherapy and Gwil’s exorbitant urgent care fees. I am doing as much as I can with the resources I have (IV fluids and medication) but she needs 24 hour IV care.

I am on the verge of losing both of my pets despite my best effort.

Any funds from this fundraiser will go directly to hospitalizing Gwil so she can get the liquids and medication she desperately needs to have a fighting chance against this disease.

Her daytime hospitalization and fluids will cost $500 tomorrow but I would prefer to admit her overnight (recommendation 2-4 days) since this condition is extremely painful and may require a feeding tube. There is a high likelihood of full recovery if she gets the full support she needs.
