Help Guymon Families Rebuild After Flood

My name is Michelle Costilla and I am from Guymon. I come with a heavy heart asking for help not for me, but for two very close families that I love dearly and are like a second family to us. As you all know, Guymon, Oklahoma was hit very hard with storms on Wednesday, June 19 of 2024. On that day, a lot of people, including these two wonderful families, lost everything that they own because of flooding. They unfortunately did not have flood insurance so nothing was covered. Everything from their cars to their personal belongings, everything is a complete loss. There is more than 8 feet of water in Dominic’s & Sheena DeJoseph‘s house. Her basement is covered in water. Her parents' house,  Jerry & Kathleen Moore which is right next-door, has more than 5 feet of water inside of it at one point. Everything is completely lost and at the moment they cannot make a list of what was damaged because there is still standing water in their homes and there’s no way of getting in there because there’s still waist-high water in their front yards. They at the moment can not live at their house, they are staying elsewhere. 

I am reaching out to you all, please find it in your heart to help these two wonderful families that have always been there for everybody. They never say no to helping people. When it comes to these two families offering help, you don’t even have to think about it twice. They have been there for our community, anybody that knows them knows that they can count on them for anything. I do want to let everyone know that this is with the permission of those two families. Whatever is raised for these two families is going straight to them. This is the ONLY GoFundMe account that has been made to help them, and if you see another one that is not made by me, please do not donate. Guymon is expecting more storms and there isn’t an estimated day for them to go and gather what wasn’t ruined.
