Red River local Guy Smith was injured in a horseback riding accident on Saturday, July 22nd. His horse came over backwards and rolled over him, causing multiple injuries. Guy was transported to CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, where initial tests showed multiple broken ribs. Further tests revealed a hole in his intestine for which he underwent surgery to repair. Guy remains hospitalized, recovering from his injuries.

Guy is a self-employed carpenter and will be unable to work for some time. He is a hardworking, proud man and would not ask for this type of help himself. Guy has no local family and lives alone. Let’s show support from his friends and community to help him out financially during this tough time.
