HELP GUY AND COLETTE CORBEIL

On Oct. 3,  Guy Corbeil, my brother-in-law, was admitted to RUH in Saskatoon after an appointment for a CT scan in North Battleford.  Doctors saw something to be concerned about and on Oct. 5th, surgery was performed to remove a large mass behind his right eye.  It  was attached to the frontal part of his brain,  as well as firmly to his skull. Guy and Colette were told that it should have been a relatively simple surgery (providing in wasn't malignant; still no results in).   Best case scenario they were told, was that he should be home after 3 days give or take.  However, after 4 weeks, numerous CT scans and MRIs and what seems like one complication after another, he is still in Saskatoon.  He was transferred to City Hospital yesterday. There, he will be receiving physio and speech therapy for an undetermined length of time.  My sister, Colette, has not left his side other than to sleep and has been residing at Laura's Lodge across from RUH.  With Guy being transferred to City Hospital, Colette was hoping to find somewhere  closer and more convenient. She managed to find a B & B two blocks away so is able to remain close, cook for herself and continue to help with his rehabilitation.  At this time, it is uncertain when or if Guy will be able to return to work. In any case,  they  have been told that they have a long road ahead of them. I am hopeful that the community of Edam and surrounding area will be generous and help them in their time of need.  On behalf of Guy and Colette and their children, they are very grateful for all and any help including visits, ongoing support and prayers, and a team of lumber jacks who managed to cut and pile enough wood to keep their home warm for the winter.
