Support Güven Kara’s Powerful New Short Film – A Story of Connection and Identity

We’re thrilled to announce a fundraising campaign for Güven Kara’s upcoming short film—a poignant exploration of adaptation, identity, and human connection. Güven, a talented filmmaker with a Master’s degree in Cinema and Television, is taking this project to the next level, with plans to submit it to world-renowned festivals like Cannes and beyond.

Synopsis
Fatima and her teenage daughter Noura move into the basement of a distant and reserved couple, Jacob and Sarah, in a quiet American neighborhood. The story unfolds as Fatima and Noura face the challenges of adaptation and acceptance in their new environment.

Jacob remains indifferent, while Sarah offers small acts of kindness. Meanwhile, Noura struggles with her individuality, quietly rebelling as she seeks a balance between her past and present.

The film reaches its emotional peak during a shared meal at sunset, where unspoken understanding and subtle connections suggest the possibility of bridging the emotional gap between the two families.

This heartfelt story captures the universal themes of belonging and connection, resonating with audiences across cultures.
