Help Gutierrez Family Recover From Car Accident
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
My name is Mike Gutierrez, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart. My wife Jasmine (23), our two young children Mikey (5) and Leilani (4), and I were traveling from San Clemente Camp Pendleton in California to Deer Park, Texas, to visit family and friends after three years apart due to my service in the Marine Corps. Tragically, on the second day of our journey, we were involved in a devastating car accident. Witnesses testified our vehicle rolled over 6 times, went airborne and then rolled another 6 times, which resulted the vehicle to be ultimately totaled. We lost one of our two rescued kittens in the crash. My children, thankfully, sustained only minor injuries from their seatbelts. I suffered a head injury, hip pain, and several cuts and bruises. However, Jasmine's injuries were severe. She was rushed to Kimble Hospital for emergency surgery and later transferred to BAMC Hospital for further treatment. Jasmine underwent a splenectomy and was found to have broken ribs, a collapsed and punctured lung, a lumbar fracture, and severe abrasions. Additionally, her rare blood disorder has complicated her recovery. The doctors have told us that a crash of this magnitude typically has a 10% survival rate, we thank God for giving us a miracle and saving our family. Jasmines recovery will be a long road which is challenging for her and for us as a family. We are reaching out to you, our family and friends, to ask for your thoughts, prayers, and any financial support you can provide. The funds will help cover medical expenses and assist us during this difficult time. We deeply appreciate all the support and love we've received and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. May God bless you all.
Sincerely, Mike Gutierrez
