Hi everyone, this is for my sweet 11-year-old dog, Gusto.

A few weeks ago, I noticed a large swelling inside Gusto’s ear flap. After multiple vet visits, tests, and treatments, we finally found out he has a severe aural hematoma that needs to be repaired under general anesthesia. The surgery will require full sedation, bandaging, and follow-up care over the next two weeks while he heals.

The estimate for the procedure is between $1,540–$2,340, not including the $2,500 I’ve already spent just to diagnose the issue through exams, aspiration, medication, and visits. On top of that, I’ll have to miss two weeks of work to care for him after surgery, so I’m setting the fundraising goal at $4,000 to cover the surgery, medication, aftercare, and lost income.

Gusto has been my best friend for over a decade. He’s been with me through every move, every film shoot, and every hard day, always wagging his tail and reminding me to breathe. Seeing him uncomfortable and in pain has been heartbreaking, but he’s still his sweet, gentle self, and I just want to make sure he’s not suffering.
