Help Gus Recover After Emergency
Donation protected
Gus, our beloved family dog, has been with us since he was just a 10-week-old puppy. We adopted him in December 2019, right before the world changed, and he quickly became the heart of our home. Gus has been by our side through every major milestone—our engagement, our wedding, and the arrival of our child, Theo, who is now his best friend. He’s a gentle giant, weighing in at 140 pounds, but he’s truly a teddy bear at heart. Gus has never harmed another living being and is as sweet and playful as the day we brought him home. His wild puppy energy and loving nature make him the perfect puppers.
Recently, Gus faced a terrifying ordeal. He was poisoned—likely by someone with ill intentions—and became extremely ill overnight. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where he had to stay for intensive treatment, including a lipid transfusion, fluids, and muscle relaxers to control his full-body tremors. Thankfully, Gus has made a full recovery, but he still needs ongoing medication to manage any breakthrough tremors. The experience was traumatic for all of us, and the unexpected vet bills have put a significant strain on our family.
We’re reaching out for support to help cover the costs of Gus’s emergency care and ongoing treatment. Every contribution will go directly toward his medical bills and ensure he continues to recover in the loving home he’s always known. Gus means the world to us, and we’re so grateful for any help you can offer to keep our gentle giant happy and healthy.
