This guy here is Gus! I met Gus about 4 years ago and we immediately had a connection. I was called in to let Gus & his best friend Roxy out in the evenings. Just about every weekend and a few weekdays, I would go over, put their harnesses on, and we would walk out to the backyard. Gus loves to play fetch. So that is what we would do. I got Gus an outside toy, one of those Kong sticks that crinkle. He loved it; he would bring it in at night, no longer making it an outside toy. After a while, his love of fetch started to diminish. He would just bring the toy out and he created a new game... keep away from Amy! I’d get lucky a few times when Gus wasn’t looking. And every toy I ever gave him, he cherishes.
I am telling you all of this because my buddy Gus has not been feeling well. He has developed growths on his body that need to be removed. They are not cancerous (as of yet, tests came back inconclusive and once removed they will send the entire growth), but they prohibit him from indulging in his favorite things: fetch, long walks with dad, cuddling with mom, playing keep away from me, getting intense butt rubs, and laying on the back of the couch to watch his world.
He has been to the vet and having these removed would give him back the quality of life he deserves. They are located in his pelvic region alongside his... and the other is on his backside, between his legs.
Any amount helps, and I would love to see my handsome, playful, protective, and all-around good boy get his best life back. Plus, Roxy likes to play with him, and she needs her best friend back in full.
