Hi everyone,

We are starting this fundraiser for our dear friend Anne and her sweet 4-year-old dog, Gus.

Gus is one of the most loving, crazy, and over-exuberant dogs we've ever met. You also should know that Gus is more than Anne's pet—he is her family and her whole world! If there is a dog that has more life to live, you know it's Gus.

The Emergency

This past weekend, Gus suffered a life-threatening medical emergency after swallowing a foreign object. He was rushed into major abdominal surgery to remove the blockage, but his recovery has been more difficult than expected.

Gus developed severe complications, and is currently in critical condition, fighting for his life, receiving antibiotics, transfusions, a feeding tube, and round-the-clock critical care to stabilize him.

Why We Need Your Help:

The veterinary team is doing an amazing job, but the cost of saving Gus is overwhelming. The medical bills have already amounted to $13,000 and are still rising as he needs to stay another night in the hospital.

While Anne has pet insurance, it covers only a small fraction (less than 25%) of this level of emergency critical care. The gap between the mounting bills and the coverage is massive, leaving Anne with an unexpected financial crisis while she is just trying to bring Gus home.
