This sweet little nugget was found wandering as a stray, and our hearts sank when we realized he had likely been abandoned. After checking thoroughly, we learned he isn’t microchipped, he’s still intact, and he’s so heartbreakingly submissive. All signs point to him being dumped because of his health struggles.
From the moment we met him, we knew he was special. Despite everything he’s been through, his gentle soul shines through. He just wants love, comfort, and the chance to breathe easy. But giving him that chance has been overwhelming—our homes are already full of pups, and the vet bills keep coming.
We’ve now learned that he needs a critical surgery (Boaz), one that Frenchies often require. The vet compared his breathing to a person trying to breath through a coffee straw—it’s exhausting, frightening, and unfair for him to live this way. While he’s under, they’ll also neuter him if he’s strong enough, so he won’t have to endure anesthesia twice.
His surgery is scheduled for December 2, and we’re desperate to get him there. We believe he deserves this chance at a healthy, happy life—but we can’t do it alone. Every dollar, no matter how small, brings him closer to breathing freely and living the life he was meant to have.
These funds will help cover his initial exam and vaccinations, as well as several health issues we’ve already had to address, including bladder stones, a UTI, ear infections, and skin allergies. Ultimately, they will also go toward his Boaz surgery, which includes repair of the snare and the palate. The University of Georgia was unable to provide a written estimate for the surgery, but they advised that the cost, including his neutering, will range between $4,500-5,500. We have all vet receipts thus far for review if interested, just message myself or Joi.
Please, help us give Gus the future he deserves.
