Help Gurkirat Singh Recover After a Devastating Car Accident

Hi, my name is Damandeep Gill and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Gurkirat Singh, who was seriously injured in a tragic car accident.

On April 24th, Gurkirat was involved in a major accident in Caledon. He was one of four people in the car, sitting in the back seat. A Ram pickup truck coming from the opposite side had its high beams on and came directly toward their vehicle. The driver of their car tried to avoid the collision, but the vehicle lost control and went into a ditch.

An ambulance arrived and took everyone to the hospital. My brother-in-law Jobanpreet Singh was in the front seat and thankfully only had minor injuries. But my friend Gurkirat Singh was seriously hurt.

He suffered a broken arm and shoulder, a neck crack, 10 stitches on his head, 6 above his eyebrow, and multiple stitches inside and outside of his lips. He was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in North York and is currently undergoing treatment.

Gurkirat is a student in Canada. Just a few weeks ago, he had bought a $2,000 car for Uber work by taking a loan. He was already helping his family back home, and now he has no way to work or support himself. In just one week, his hospital bills have reached $30,000, and they’re only increasing.
