My friend, Randhir Singh first caddied at Chandigarh Golf Club and then played as a professional golfer alongside me on the Indian PGA tour. He went to the USA 6 years ago with his wife and 8-year-old son. His goal was to give his family a better life. He and his wife earn their living as Uber drivers. Randhir does the night shift and his wife the morning shift. Randhir's passion was always golf and when he himself could not succeed wanted to ensure his son would.

His son Guri who is now 14 was turning out to be a great golf player winning many state and national junior tournaments. A hard-working kid, a few days, was returning home from the gym and late eve jog, was hit by a car. He has had to undergo multiple surgeries in a hospital in Austin.

With the grace of God, the surgeries on the spine, leg, brain and neck have been successful and Guri is undergoing rehabilitation.

The medical bills have skyrocketed and that coupled with a loss of income since neither of the parents have been able to go work for the last 3 weeks is causing an added stress on Randhir's family.

Guri is a passionate golfer, and after years of practice, hard work, and determination, has become one of the best young golfers in the country. His family and friends are determined not to let this accident prevent him from fulfilling his dream of being a world champion.

 

On behalf of Randhir and his wife Simy, we ask for donations to help with the significant medical expenses and lost wages the family will endure during Guri's lengthy recovery process. All of the donations will go directly to the Randhir family.
