Update 9/16
Gunther is home and recovering! He was discharged this morning. The current battle is getting him hydrated to prevent a reobstructiln. He refuses to drink water and is struggling with the transition from a kibble diet to the new prescribed wet food which helps keep him hydrated. Top it off with the stress and trauma of all the events which occured over the past 2 days for him, he is trying to adjust My poor buddy.
The funds I'm raising are going to my mother who paid a sizable portion of the operation with funds she had set aside for her trip here in America. She is from Germany and flew in to see me and my sister before this emergency arose. I am blessed to have her and forever grateful for her extending beyond her means.
I'm so grateful for all the donations given thus far, thank you all so so much. A photo of Gunther as he resides today back at home . Let's pray he drinks some dang water soon.

Gunther is my beloved and cherished best friend who has been my companion through some of the most difficult times in the past 2 years of my
life. Gunther is 4 years old and was rescued from the street. He was un-neutered/un-chipped and digging through my dumpster for weeks before I took him in. I decided to take care of him one night upon walking out the backdoor and finding him mewing and hiding under a grill in a cold fall rain. He has been my sunshine ever since. Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore this sweet grumpy little monster.
Gunther unfortunately succumbed to a common pathology in cats. Environmental stressors related to moving caused a urinary blockage which has required an emergency procedure which costs 3.5-5K. The blockage was identified and an emergency procedure to extract the blockage was performed last night. Gunther is currently undergoing 24 hours of continued monitoring with the good folks at Animal Emergency and Referral Center. I currently do not have the funds to cover the expansiveness of this procedure and so am kindly asking for any generous people to help pay for this medical bill. I will fight for this animal's life and good health tooth and nail.
Gunther likes to run up his cat tree and sprint along panels I especially built for him in our apartment. Contributions will kindly be met with a photo of Gunther and the donor, or video of him doing his sprints with the donors name in the background! Let's pray that Gunther makes a full, swift recovery and gets back to his cat tree sprints ASAP! Thank you everyone!
