This fundraiser is for my sweet 3 year old cousin, Gunnar Kremer, who was just diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Justin and Jen brought their 3 year old son Gunnar to the pediatrician several days ago for what they thought was constipation. They were sent home and directed to give him a laxative. After a few more days of no relief and increasing complaints of back pain, they brought him to a Pediatric ER where he was admitted that night for a swollen spine.
Within a few hours the doctors began prepping Justin and Jen for the news no parent can ever prepare for...that their only baby together may have cancer.

After one night in the hospital, Jen and Justin's worst fears were realized when they were told their son has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

If this wasn’t enough, because of COVID restrictions, they aren’t permitted to be together in the room with Gunnar to grieve this diagnosis- they are forced to switch out every 24 hours in order to be with him.
To pile on more, their insurance ran out last month when Justin had to stop working as a result of the COVID epidemic.

This has been a devastating 24 hours for our family to say the least.

Our little Gunnar is in good spirits, and is still his sweet, silly self even through the hundreds of pokes and prods he has had to endure over the last two days.

Justin and Jen are trying to brace themselves for the weeks to come starting tomorrow, which brings a spinal tap, surgical placed pic line/port, and the start of 2 weeks of intravenous and oral chemotherapy...... it is a lot for a little one to endure but he is very strong and we know he can pull through this but we need your support!

Please keep Gunnar in your prayers- pray that he and his mommy and daddy stand strong through this hard time.
