On December 18, 2022, Gulia went to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing from the Flu. While in the hospital, On December 19th they determined that her Flu turned into pneumonia and that her oxygen levels were critically low. Due to the struggle to breathe, her heart rate rose above 220 and almost required a cardioversion (the paddles & shock) to regulate it back down. She was rushed to the ICU at Good Samaritan Hospital and placed on a Cpap to regulate her oxygen levels.
Gulia is still in the hospital and her pneumonia has gotten worse. Gulia's been hospitalized for 9 days and the Cardiac Physicians are still unsure why Gulia got so bad or how to help her recover. Right now, they are monitoring her pain, trying to control her heart rate, and giving her breathing treatments. Gulia is currently projected to be in the hospital until the week of January 9th. She would never ask for anything, so I am asking for her. Absolutely anything helps as a 3-week minimum stay in a hospital is very taxing and the money will be used to help her pay any bills.
God is good, we are so glad she is still with us and will (hopefully) be able to return to her baby boys soon. This will make the transition back into "normal" a little easier for her.
