Guitars ‘n’ Kids - a 501(c)(3) non-profit benefiting local youth - has launched a free music education program here in Contra Costa County — and we need your help to get started with our first classes.

Our mission is simple: inspire, educate, and empower youth through music.

Through structured 8-week programs led by experienced volunteer musicians and mentors, students receive free professional guitar instruction in safe community learning spaces such as local libraries and civic facilities. Every student is provided with an acoustic guitar, accessories, and learning materials at no cost.

Music can build confidence, creativity, discipline, and connection — while providing a positive alternative to destructive influences.

We are currently raising start-up funds to cover start-up costs and to launch our first classes.

Donations will directly support:

• Youth guitars and accessories

• Lesson materials and classroom supplies

• Insurance and program operating expenses

• Community outreach and marketing

Most importantly, 100% of funds raised go toward the program itself. No board members, instructors, or volunteers are compensated — we are all volunteers donating our time because we believe in the power of music to positively impact young lives.
