Help Guiding Threads Collective Nurture Liberation Movements
Donation protected
Guiding Threads Collective is a worker-owned cooperative that offers facilitation and conflict tending to co-ops, non-profits, schools, movement organizations and more. We are currently seeking to fundraise at least $20,000, which will aid us in working with grassroots and under-resourced groups specifically focused on racial and economic justice, immigration defense work, and climate resilience.
In this time of heightened state surveillance and repression of our movement organizations during Trump’s second presidency, we are working to resource our groups and organizations through this period of turmoil. We believe this funding will help us provide facilitation services to our clients that leads to more powerful action, deepened relationships, and expansive solidarity. By supporting groups to navigate conflict and disagreement, vision boldly, and sharpen strategy, Guiding Threads Collective aims to weave together a cohesive, cooperative, and powerful movement for liberation.
Our cooperative is owned and staffed by a gender-expansive and racially diverse team of Black, Asian, queer, and trans facilitators. Among us, we have over 50 years of facilitation, training, and organizing experience and have worked with a wide variety of organizations, including nonprofits, worker cooperatives, collectives, base-building orgs, farms, schools, spiritual communities, and coalitions. We have supported numerous groups through change and conflict, with services ranging from tailored one-time trainings to multi-year organizational change and accompaniment processes. We bring a diverse set of backgrounds and work experiences, including organizing, non-profit work, teaching, worker-ownership, mediation, and peer counseling. We are presently based in New York City, Philadelphia, Oakland, and Boston, and we work with organizations across the country.
