Guapo came into our lives about a year and a half ago when we adopted him from our local shelter for my daughter. He quickly became her emotional support dog, offering comfort and companionship through life’s ups and downs. Guapo is more than just a pet—he’s a beloved member of our family, and his bond with my daughter is truly special.

On Sunday afternoon, Guapo suffered a terrible injury when he was kicked in the face by a horse, causing his eye to protrude. We rushed him to the Animal Emergency in Reno, NV, where he received immediate care, but he now needs a procedure to help him recover fully. Despite the shock, my daughter handled the situation with incredible strength and didn’t panic when we picked her up from work. Still, it’s been a difficult time for all of us, and seeing Guapo in pain has been heartbreaking.

The funds raised will go directly toward Guapo’s emergency vet visit, anesthesia, sutures, two weeks of aftercare, and the medication he needs to heal. I hate asking for help, especially during the holidays, but I don’t know what else to do. Any support for Guapo and my daughter would mean the world to us.
