Help GU Orbit build and launch a microsatellite!

Hello! We are GU Orbit, a team of students from the University of Glasgow, working together to build and launch a micro-satellite. Being the first student-led group in Scotland to attempt this, our teams have been working hard all summer to perfect the Research phase of our project. 

GU Orbit is comprised of many technical and non-technical teams, including a total of around 40 students. Our mission is simple: to make space more accessible to our community, and to manage to build and launch our CubeSat within 2020!

The satellite will carry a small camera, with the aim of photographing the earth from space and of determining the stability of the satellite. In addition, our main payload involves a de-orbiting solution for the satellite at the end of its life, to further emphasise the European Space Agency's "Clean Space Initiative". 

So, how can you join us on this journey to space? Here's how you can help. While our technical teams work on building our satellite, our non-technical teams focus on trying to find sponsors to fund our project and bring it to life. As you can imagine, however, going to space is no simple thing; as we try to find big sponsors to help our mission, it would make an immense difference to us if we could gather some funds from people who are interested in what we're doing, and who would like to support our vision. We would be very grateful for any donation of any size, as we are very passionate about this project and are putting very significant effort into realising it.
