My dad, Mike “Grumpy” Fahey, was diagnosed Dec 17, 2017 with aggressive stage 3 colon cancer. He started chemo therapy and radiation treatments on Jan 5, 2018. The treatment isn’t working how it should be and with heavy hearts and broken pride it is time to ask for help from all of our loved ones. Grumpy is a small business owner and his only means of survival is to work. He is currently raising and sole providing for his granddaughter and adult disabled son. He’s worked as much and as long as he could. He has been hospitalized as of today, Feb 16 2018, for severe dehydration and complications from colon cancer. His chemotherapy was stopped 3 weeks early on February 12, due to it not working and more aggressive measures needing to be taken. He will more than likely be going in for surgery on Feb 19 to try to place a stint and colostomy bag. Any thing you can do to help would be appreciated; wether it be prayers and well wishes, donations or shares. He’s not giving up yet and neither are we. He will beat this. There is no other option.
