Hi, my name is Dawn, and I am a parent of a FIRST Robotics GRR Team 340 member. Last year, we had a minimal virtual season with no travel. In 2020, our team qualified to attend Champs in Detroit, but unfortunately, due to COVID, the event was canceled. This past weekend, we won the Finger Lakes Regional at RIT, which qualified the team to participate in Champs to compete against the best teams worldwide in April. Houston is where the event is held this year.

Most of our team members experienced their first competition this weekend, and only two team members have experienced a Champs event in 2019.  We lost the ability to fundraise over the last two years in person, so our funds are stretched thin, and the cost to get the team to Houston is much more expensive than Detroit has been in the past. This year's event is held over Spring Break week, and flights are extremely limited and costly. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help these kids at all experience Champs.
