Help Grow the Game in Lakewood ❤️

As most of you know, field hockey has always been a deep passion of mine. This past season I had the opportunity to take over the varsity field hockey program at Lakewood High School. We started pre-season with only five girls, but by the end, our roster had grown to seventeen. Our goals were simple, let's do better than we did the year before. We listed all the games and scores from the previous season and set out to improve those outcomes. In the end, the girls ended up with one tie, three overtime losses, and keeping every game (except Point Boro) in single digits. We went from not scoring in previous seasons to scoring five goals, and even more impressive, we went from giving up 182 goals in 2021 to only 63 goals. The girls were so excited about how well they did and how much they learned this season. Most importantly the girls all bought into the culture of field hockey and understood that being committed and putting in the work everyday brings rewards. With that being said, the team decided that they all wanted to go to field hockey camp together this summer, so we started fundraising (Old Monmouth Candies, Soap, Valentine's Day Photo Booth, Five Below), and raised $1025!

As most of you know, day camp for all of the girls is about double the amount that we were able to raise. We are seeking donations to help give the Lakewood Field Hockey team the opportunity to go to summer field hockey camp. It's a priceless experience that they will never forget. If you are able to contribute, we greatly appreciate any donation.
