My name is Tenneh J ( TJ) Wilkins, a fashion design educator, creative mentor, and founder of the Professor TJ Wilkins YouTube channel — a growing space dedicated to teaching the art of fashion design in a way that’s inspiring, inclusive, and accessible.

I teach pattern making, sewing, draping, and creative crafts through hands-on tutorials that break down professional design techniques into approachable steps. My goal is to make fashion education available to anyone who dreams of creating, regardless of their background, resources, or experience level. I believe creativity is a universal language, and fashion is one of its most joyful forms of expression.

Over the years, I’ve faced significant health challenges that changed the way I create and teach. Those experiences taught me to work mindfully, to slow down, listen to my body, and infuse intention and compassion into everything I make. That shift inspired me to build my brand, Professor TJ Wilkins, as a space where others can also find healing and confidence through creativity.

Through my YouTube teaching platform, I aim to celebrate culture, confidence, and creativity, while building a supportive global community for learners who find joy in the process of making. It’s more than fashion, it’s about empowerment, mindfulness, and rediscovering the healing power of art.

I’m now raising funds to grow this platform and strengthen its foundation. Every contribution will help me improve my teaching setup with things like:

Upgrading video editing and audio equipment for clearer, more professional tutorials

Investing in fabrics, sewing tools, and mannequins for demonstrations
