I Am: Express Yourself is a community event that brings people together for food, fun, and creative expression. We've already hosted two successful gatherings—one at Afro City in Baldwin Hills Plaza (Crenshaw mall) and another at the Barbara Morrison Center in Leimert Park. At these events, we provide free food and drinks, and create a welcoming, open mic talent show atmosphere where everyone, including kids, can participate. Some people even perform for the first time, making it a truly special experience.

For our next event, I want to make it even bigger. We're planning an outdoor stage, a jumper for the kids, vendors, and more activities to make it feel like a family reunion talent show. This time, instead of relying on ticket sales, I hope to pay for the DJ, food, drinks, and venue upfront. This will help us create a smoother, more inclusive event where everyone feels welcome.
