Fertile Turtle Island is more than just a place. It is a portal. Both Austin and Olivia felt this the first time they drove the 2 mile dead end gravel road that ends where the land begins. Before they stepped on to the the property that was for sale, they knew that there was something special about it. In the 6 months that they traveled across the country searching for home, there was nothing that they saw in comparison. Surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest for miles in every direction, one can feel the magic just by its location.
It is Olivia and Austin's dream to share this magical place with people that need time to connect with plants, animals, insects, fungi, fellow humans (including themselves) and the earth herself. Fertile Turtle Island is calling to be a retreat center. One that is open and welcoming. One that creates sacred space with each decision that is made. One that is nurturing to share and receive knowledge that is ancient and new. As Olivia and Austin continue to learn how to live off grid and experience the emersion of living in the forest, they know that this is potent medicine that needs to be shared. They also know that it will take time and money to set up the infrastructure that is needed to host people. Currently they live in a tiny house they built themselves and are building their future home for their growing family. The tiny house is centrally located and will be the first community building once their future home is complete. The goal is to have several small structures to comfortably accommodate people during events, gathering, retreats and visits.

The knowledge that they keep alive will be passed on. And the scared space that they create will continually evolve.
