Support Chess Education in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago!

We are raising funds for Bocas Chess Club, a passionate community project dedicated to bringing chess education to children across the Bocas del Toro archipelago.

We currently offer workshops in schools in Loma Partida, Tierra Oscura, Cerro Brujo, Isla Tigre, Cayo de Agua, Popa 1 and 2, and we hold regular club meetings on Isla Colón in different locations. Check out our headquarters and reviews: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zZeovQ9Njnwfij2y9

For the first time, we’ve been able to donate chess sets so students can start playing and exploring the game on their own and with the help of high school students from Multicultural International School, which is our headquarters.

However, reaching these schools is challenging. Each visit costs $100–$150, covering transportation and materials. With your support we can continue, and hopefully expand, these workshops so more kids can benefit!

We are developing a digital training program, and tablets, even used ones, allow students to practice between visits while promoting reuse and reducing waste.

Bocas Chess Club is a non-profit sports organization, and we now have an official Panamanian bank account dedicated to the project. Contributions from visitors and collaboration with local businesses help strengthen our board and support long-term budget planning.
