Hurricane Melissa has left deep scars across Jamaica, and the small rural community of Grove Town, South Manchester has been hit especially hard. Homes have been damaged, possesions destroyed, and crops, a main source of livelihood for many, wiped out.
For families here, recovery isn’t just about rebuilding structures, it’s about restoring hope and stability. Grove Town is a place built on love, community, and faith, where neighbours look out for one another and share what little they have. Now, they need our support more than ever.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards:
- Repairing homes that have lost roofs, walls, and essential supplies
- Providing food, clean water, and basic necessities to families most affected.
- Supporting community rebuilding efforts, including local schools and gathering spaces
No contribution is too small. Every bit helps families begin the long process of recovery and reminds them they are not alone.
As a proud member of the Jamaican diaspora, I’ve seen time and again how our community shows up in moments of crisis. Grove Town is a place full of strength and spirit, with your help, they can rebuild stronger than before.
Please donate if you can, share this page, and keep Grove Town and all those affected by Hurricane Melissa in your thoughts and prayers.
Jamaica will rise again together.
