Help GrossFamily of 6 displaced by a devastating House Fire

Never in my life did I ever imagine I would be creating a GoFundMe for my own family. I would first like to say we are so grateful to all be okay! We are a family of 6 with our Rusty boy (our sweet puppy)and have lost everything in a terrible house fire. We all just made it out and are so thankful for all the volunteers and first responders; to everyone for everything! Unfortunately, our home is a total loss and everything in it is gone as well. This was extremely traumatic, to say the least, and this has been beyond overwhelming each day since! We are beyond grateful to everyone for all the support, love, and help! Currently, we are in search of a home. We were moving into one, and someone was willing to pay more for it, so we didn’t get it! Additionally, we have still not been able to be all together since the fire. We are grateful for all who are helping us and all who have helped in every way you have all helped! We cannot put into words our gratitude! We are starting this GoFundMe so there is one throughout our struggle to rebuild. We are doing our very best to stay positive, and having such wonderful support from our community, family, and friends has been such a gift! Thank you all so much!

Family of 6 Displaced by Devastating House Fire - Please Help Us Survive & Rebuild

Hi, we’re the Gross family - Stefanie Merritt-Gross, EJ Gross (a retired war veteran), our three boys William-John (15), Colton (6), and Richard-Jay (4), and EJ’s 94-year-old grandmother, Joyce Holcombe, whom we care for at home.

In the middle of the night, our home in Leonardo, NJ was destroyed by a devastating fire. We are so grateful that we all made it out safely, but we’ve lost everything we own - clothes, shoes, personal items, the kids’ toys, school supplies, and all of their sports equipment.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help us begin the long road of rebuilding. Right now, we’re just trying to replace the essentials and get back on our feet - especially for our children, who are trying to understand what’s happened while adjusting to this new reality.
