Help Grizz the Trail-Riding Champion Heal
Donation protected
Dear friends, animal lovers, and fellow adventurers,
To know Grizz, an amazing Catahoula mix doggo from Warrenton, is to love him. His spunky personality and athleticism (not to mention that handsome face) endear him to all he meets. If you know him from Haymarket Bicycles, trail adventures with Jared, or runs around Warrenton, you know he's a special dog. So special, in fact, that Bicycle Magazine named him America's Raddest Dog. His quirky spirit and athleticism are something to behold.

But now Grizz is fighting for his life, and he needs our help. Last weekend he stopped eating and started to exhibit signs of distress, he was rushed to the emergency vet where imaging revealed an obstruction in his stomach and intestines as well as a cancerous tumor. Emergency surgery was required to clear the life-threatening blockage and remove the tumor.

Grizz remains at the emergency vet during this critical stage of his recovery, though Jared and his family hope to bring him home as soon as possible. Biopsy results will determine whether further treatment is needed as a result of the tumor. In the meantime he is starting to eat, move around and show signs that he is desperate to get home to his family
Anyone who has ever needed to use emergency veterinary services can imagine the financial burden that this situation has created, after days of 24-7 critical care and much more care to come. Most of us can also imagine the stress of having a beloved family member in such a tough situation. Grizz’s family is ready to do whatever they need to in order to help Grizz recover, and we can help them on this journey by easing the significant financial stress of the situation. Let's rally to help Grizz and family. Every dollar helps and the smallest donations will add up fast. And please share Grizz's story!
We will post updates here as Grizz recovers.
With deepest gratitude,
Eric and the Grizz Support Team
