Hello,

thank you for taking the time to visit this page. Some of you might know me and some might not. My name is Minerva, I’m Fernando’s (nando) wife. I have created this page in hopes of raising some money for my Mother-in-law Griselda who has not only spent the past month in a hospital bed fighting for her life but also has had to endure the fact that her husband was also fighting for his at the same time. Unfortunately my father-in-law Fernando lost his battle against Covid and passed away in the early hours of Friday, November 19, 2021.

To give you more insight on her situation; she became ill at the beginning of October and within weeks she was taken to the hospital because she had difficulty breathing . While in the hospital, she had some complications which required her to have emergency surgery which gave her less than 25% chance for survival. She fought for her life and beat the odds, surprising everyone with her desire to live! Her victory was a bit short lived, her husband soon became more ill from Covid and after exhausting all the hospital resources to help him, his body became tired and he passed away. This has been such a devastating event for the whole Govea family, but especially for my mother-in-law. She is unable to work due to her still delicate condition and her surgery which will have to be redone in about 6 months.

we are asking for donations for her to get back on her feet, so that she is able to live her life with as little stress as possible at least during her recovery. Every penny donated will go towards her household bills and any medical expenses she may incur in the meantime. Any help is very much appreciated!
