Help Griselda: Fire Survivor, Miracle Cat

Donation protected
Everyone, my good friend Amber needs help. Her beautiful cat named Griselda was in a house fire today. Griselda was inside the smoke filled home for 10+ hours while first responders fought to extinguish the flames while battling snowy conditions and frozen fire hydrants.

Griselda’s condition right now is unknown. She seems to have harsh lung sounds currently and an elevated temperature. She is clearly traumatized from today’s events. Her kitty sibling is still unaccounted for at this time, so let’s keep him in our prayers as well.

Griselda needs to see a Veterinarian as soon as she possibly can. Emergency vets are not an option without cash up front and credit cards and care credit/scratch pay is not an option as it was declined when applied for.

I know the holiday season just passed and everyone is tight for money right now but think of your own pets, think of the heartbreak you would feel in this situation. Every single dollar counts for Griselda and time is of the essence to get her the care she desperately needs.

We luckily did find a rescue that is willing to help cover her initial medical cost. However, Griselda and pets in house fires typically require intensive hospitalization and these bills can be quite extensive (as most pet owners know), so we are trying to raise funds for the potential and likely hospitalization Griselda will require, along with the second cats care when he is found.

Amber has the biggest heart I know. She’s sobbing for her baby, desperately trying to come up with money to give Griselda her best fighting chance. Let’s show her the kindness this world still has! ❤️

update: unfortunately, the damage to Griselda’s lungs and skin is extensive. In her current condition she would need a lengthy stay of hospitalization at a veterinary hospital, and even with treatment she may not survive.

The decision was made to humanely euthanize Griselda today. She was kept comfortable at the vet all day on pain control and IV fluids while her diagnostics were ran. Donations that were given will be used toward her owners aftercare wishes for her remains.

Thank you all.
