This is Grimm, our (almost) 6-month-old kitten. Over the last two days, she hasn’t been herself: she didn’t want to play as much, started hiding in our room instead of curling up on our laps, and even vomited bile. She’s been lethargic, and last night she refused her favorite wet food, which made us realize something was seriously wrong. We rushed her to the Emergency Vet, where the exam and X-rays revealed an obstruction in her small intestine. The vet explained that Grimm needs surgery to remove the obstruction before her intestines develop necrosis, which could be life-threatening.

The emergency exam and X-rays, along with the surgery, are a significant expense that we never foresaw and simply cannot afford right now (Estimate ranges from $6,909 and $7,647).

Grimm is the sweetest little cat and has become our constant companion, she never really leaves our side (yes, even the bathroom! lol). She was going to be abandoned, so we decided to foster her, but she quickly became a permanent part of our family. Grimm is spunky and full of energy, with the loudest purr we’ve ever heard in a kitten. She loves her laser toy and is super sweet to our senior cat, often grooming him when they lay together.

We're embarrassed to have to ask for help, but we're out of options. Grimm means everything to us, and she deserves to be a happy and healthy kitten who grows into a happy and healthy cat.
