Edited to add: Rather than make a new GoFundMe, we're using this one- it's the same circumstances, but we're still struggling with rent.

The short version; Griffin, the primary income for the household, lost his job some months ago. We’re at the point where we don’t have enough for rent as of October, never mind utilities, and we need help to get us through at least this next payment.

After losing his job, we’ve been drawing from saved money to survive from month to month as Griffin hunts for a new one. Lindsay, the other roommate, is disabled and on a fixed income. We are now completely tapped out, and like most people right now need help just for this next month.

We’ve looked into rental assistance, but the interview to even determine eligibility doesn’t happen until the end of the month- and anyone who’s ever applied for anything from the state or federal government knows how long it can take just to get a response.

We’re asking for help covering even just this next month while we scramble to get an income and make sure we- and our cats Zelda and Garrus- are able to make it to when things turn back in our favor. If by some miracle we’re able to get over our goal here, everything else will go towards rent/utilities through October.

We wouldn’t turn to crowdfunding if we didn’t have to, and if we didn’t think we’d be getting back on our feet soon- everyone’s being hit hard right now, and we’re no exception. If you’re able to help, you’ll be making a huge difference in our lives, buying us some time to get things back in order.
