Around July of 2024, I made the decision to flee from an abusive marriage with little to no resources. Even though it’s been a year and my spouse had continuously promised to send me my belongings and pets, nothing has been fulfilled on her end. Despite filing reports (she had forged my signature to throw me off the lease, which can be a felony) and trying my best to do things on my end, it’s hard for me to save up any money at all that would go towards the appropriate measures for divorce — on top of the legal action I would need to take in order to have my belongings and cats again.

I also live with Multiple Sclerosis, and she uses my dependency on medication and healthcare as a weapon. Since I didn’t receive the promised support she offered when I left, I experienced a sudden interruption in my treatment. This meant (and continues to mean) that it is next to impossible to maintain a job so that I can stand on my own two feet.

All funds raised will be used towards legal efforts.
