Hi Everyone! I'm Jasper, Grey's partner.

I'm helping Grey get help with covering their bills for the rest of June because they got HIT BY A CAR :(

We are hopeful that by July they will be healed enough to get back to work, but obviously, a piercer can't do much with a bum wrist and hand.

WHAT HAPPENED?!

Grey was crossing an intersection at a crosswalk on their e-scooter when a full size transit van slowed to yield. For some reason the driver didn't wait for Grey to cross the street fully and drove right into Grey. The impact knocked Grey to the ground with enough force to fracture their wrist, chip a bone off a pinky finger, and sprain a knee.

So far they are feeling okay, however pretty shook up and understandably in some pain. The worst part is being out of work without savings to pay for bills. If you can lend a hand to make sure Grey can eat and pay rent please consider donating!

WHAT WILL THESE FUNDS COVER?

Rent, student loan, utilities, food (things that have to be paid every month) TOTAL= $3200

WHAT'S NEXT?

We are still working with insurance and the hospital about what is and isn't covered. Right now we are going to bravely assume that it will be covered by the driver's insurance. Hopefully that is the case but there is a chance that grey will be responsible for some of the costs.

At this point we're trying to estimate very modestly so we can raise enough just to make it through this. When you don't have a savings to lean back on it's really frightening that something that isn't even your fault can prevent you from having your basic needs met.
