Our beloved 5 year old Maine Coon Gremlin has been declining in health & needs our help. After several weeks of trying to figure out why, and multiple vet visits later we got some scary bloodwork back that he was anemic & his immune system was actively destroying itself. We brought him to a 24/hr Emergency vet where they did further tests to rule out cancer, & treat with antibiotics & a mild dose of steroids. Within the process he needed a blood transfusion, & they continued to monitor to see if his fever would break. Running more tests & using an ultrasound they found inflammation in the body & fluid build-up. Gremlin started to present signs highly suspicious for FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) a feline coronavirus.

FIP is a very serious progressive disease that is 100% fatal without treatment. He needs a full 84 days of antiviral injections & 84 days of observation to ensure that he does not relapse. This treatment is the only chance for survival, and we are doing everything in our power to give him a fighting chance. The money we raise will go towards ongoing treatment, routine bloodwork, injection supplies, & any more unexpected ER trips / vet bills. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated!
