Support Greg's Recovery After a Massive Stroke

Hi, my name is Christine. For 36 years, I’ve had the honor of being Greg’s wife. I’m reaching out for help as Greg begins his long, challenging recovery from a massive stroke that occurred on November 25th.

Greg is a force of nature—a brilliant jeweler, a master gardener, a dedicated mentor, and the most loving, supportive partner I could ask for. Now, he needs our support.

The Situation
Greg is out of the hospital, but the journey ahead is long. He is facing months of intensive rehabilitation—occupational, speech, and physical therapies—with dozens of appointments scheduled each week for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, he has additional surgeries planned for the new year to address his carotid arteries.

Greg has spent over 20 years creating intricate jewelry as his profession. We don't yet know if he will regain the fine motor skills necessary to return to the work he loves. This uncertainty adds immense stress to an already difficult time.

Even with private insurance, the medical costs associated with emergency care, extensive rehabilitation, surgeries, and specialized equipment are astronomical and continue to mount.

About Greg: A Renaissance Man
If you know Greg, you know he is a True Renaissance Man: constantly in motion, curious, and profoundly kind.

He built our beautiful home with his own hands. It is not uncommon for people to stop their cars to take pictures of his amazing park-like yard. He is the neighborhood Garden Guru who patiently listens to stranger's botanical questions, offering detailed explanations and solutions.

He's a master gardener, a scientist, an architect, a philosopher, and a raconteur, who wears his heart on his sleeve and is always the first to lend a hand.

He is a Baby Whisperer and a positive male role model for young people. He opened our home to our son Hunter's best friends, Xavier who lived with us throughout high school, and David who struggled with addiction, after their own father's kicked them out. He is Jered's "Summer Dad" and "The Dad I Wish I'd Had" to several other grown ass men.

Greg lives his truth every day and works harder than anyone I know. He is a solid human.

Our Story: Unconditional Love and Support
Greg has been my anchor through the hardest times of my life. He supported me when I was healing from a brutal childhood, and he was my fierce advocate and nurse after I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 41. After 14 surgeries in 3 years, he cleaned wounds I couldn't bear to look at. He told me he loved my bald head. When my fingernails and toenails fell off, he promised me they would grow back, and I believed him. He cared for me while I slept through most of 2023–24 due to long Covid. I truly would not be here today without him. Now, it is my privilege and honor to care for him.

How Your Donation Will Help
We are taking this one day at a time, together. Your generous donation will help alleviate the crushing financial stress and worry so we can focus entirely on Greg's recovery.
Funds raised will cover:
Uncovered medical bills, co-pays, and deductibles
Specialized rehabilitation appointments (PT, OT, Speech)
Adaptive equipment needed for the home
Potential modifications to our home if he cannot climb stairs
Necessary future surgeries and hospital stays
Essential living expenses as we navigate this period of lost income

Help Us Help Greg Get Back on His Feet
We are uncertain about what the future holds. Will he be able to walk his dog, Spike, again? Will he be able to drive? Will he climb the stairs in the home he built?
What we do know is that Greg has a fighting spirit. The outpouring of love and support we’ve received so far has meant the world to us; he lights up at every text, call, card and message.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you for any support you can offer. Sharing this campaign with your network also makes a huge difference.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Christine & Greg
