Help Greg's family with their loss.

It's with a heavy heart that I have to share this news about my big brother. On 12/30/2021, Greg Richards was involved in a fatal car accident while driving home from a fun evening doing what he loved: driving Jeeps and 4x4s with his friends.

We all have more questions than answers right now and the reality is: none of those answers will change the fact that Jeff and I lost our brother, but more importantly: his wife Celena lost her best friend, and Ayron and Brennen lost their father, and Pat and Gary lost their son.  We have been holding off on making any statements because we are still waiting on answers for ourselves. The shock has made all the emotions a human can have... happen at once. Still, we know that word is spreading... and while we wish we had more details to share... all we know is that this actually happened, and the guy who would light up a room with his infectiously positive attitude, fun loving spirit, who was committed to living life to the fullest has been taken from us.

Our family recognizes that 'family' isn't always about blood relation... and Greg's 'family' was huge. Many who have heard already are also hurting, and our hearts go out to you as well. For those we haven't told personally... please know that we have been taking life minute by minute this weekend, hopefully we can focus on day by day soon.

We have heard that there are folks who have asked how they can help. That is much appreciated. Help can come in many ways... and maybe we can put together some of Greg's "loose ends" and try to finish some of the projects once we get through these next weeks and months. We'll let you know what and when that type of help will be needed.

For now, we know that there are no life insurance policies, and there are a lot of questions about the cost that will result from the events of last Thursday. There will undoubtedly be some bills that will come along that we don't even know about yet. If anyone is so inclined to help my brother's family in a financial way... it would be greatly appreciated, and with the loss of his part of the household income... would sure help as they wrap their heads around what is next. Anything left over from this craziness will be used for the boy's future education and other needs.

We've been feeling the love and support from so many of you already, and it has been invaluable. We will have more news as we put some plans together. We're thinking of late May after graduation for a service to celebrate his life. We will post more specifics once those plans are sorted out.
