Help Greg walk through cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Charissa Brock, and I am fundraising for my friend Greg Carrigan.
I've known Greg since I first moved to Oregon. He and his partner Tabor Porter are both artists and have been active in the Portland art scene for years. Greg is a painter and a writer, and Tabor is a jeweler. Greg has a heart of gold, a really sweet fellow. A lot of artists are in the position of having no safety net financially. Greg is no exception.
Greg was diagnosed with mid range prostate cancer and has just started treatments in Portland over the Christmas holiday(which is also his birthday). On the way down to receive treatments his truck broke down. Finances are stretched thin. Most immediately (now) Greg needs help paying the phone bill, his lifeline to doctors, family, and friends, as well as truck repairs so he can get back and forth to follow-up appointments after radiation therapy. It would really be great if he could have some meals dropped at the place he is staying if you cannot donate. Meals should be healthy:) Although outlook is really good financial struggles are something that can create stress and effect health and therefore the outcome of the treatments. I am hoping to raise enough to pay for the truck repairs and several months living expenses so Greg can fully recover quickly and stress free. Please give what you can. I am hoping that as a community we can help our friend through a hard time.
