Hi. My name is Rita Viola. My husband, Greg Viola, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2024. In 2024, Greg received chemo treatment for his cancer. In August of 2024, he got encouraging news that his cancer was in remission. In September of 2025, we celebrated one year cancer-free. In October 2025, he was told that his cancer had metastasized to different areas in his peritoneal lining. Surgery is not an option. The oncologist has prescribed a very aggressive form of chemo to shrink the tumors. During this chemo process, Greg has had to retire early because working as a mechanic will be too hard on his body. The chemo treatments have been very hard on him.

Greg receives a Social Security check, and I work full-time. Greg will be receiving Disability benefits, but we are not sure when that will start.

I am asking for help paying our mortgage; we are behind two months, $5898. We have been in contact with our mortgage company, but really they haven't been much help. We have asked relatives in the past to help, and I think we have exhausted that route. If you are willing and able to help us, it would be very much appreciated. We are not the kind of people who ask for help, but we have been desperate so we do not lose our home. Thank you.
