Help Greg Stentz After Devastating Accident

Donation protected
Hi everyone! We’re reaching out on behalf of Greg Stentz and his family for help with medical expenses, rehabilitation, and care.

Greg had a horrible accident on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 4th. While pressure washing their home, getting it ready for family and friends visiting during graduation week, the ladder he was on slipped out from under him and he fell 16 feet. The ladder amputated his foot just above his ankle, leaving 3 1/2” of his tibia exposed and fracturing the tibia bone above. The Achilles tendon and ligaments were the only things left connecting his foot to him. His right shoulder was dislocated, and the humerus fractured. Fire rescue and EMS responded quickly and was rushed as a level 1 trauma to the closest trauma hospital.

We are fundraising to cover the extensive medical expenses, rehabilitation, and ongoing care that Greg will need.

Greg has had two surgeries and they reattached his foot using 13 screws and metal plates. They reset his shoulder and restricted movement.

The past six days have been extremely difficult. His blood pressure crashed, he developed a fever, and his blood levels have been extremely low. They are monitoring closely for infection. Greg has been in a critical care wing so nurses are in and out constantly.

He will be moved from critical care once his levels are approved. Then, Greg will be moved to an inpatient intensive rehabilitation program in the hospital.

This is going to be a long journey and he and his family need our help.

A lot of people know Greg as a gifted musician. He plays guitar, bass, and ukulele and studied music in college. He has been playing continuously since he was 14 years old. Every weekend he travels with his band to perform for weddings, celebrations, corporate affairs, and even inauguration events. He has written a lot of music over the years and performed with a lot of wonderful musicians, but he is most proud of the album he recorded with only five songs, one for each of his children.

Greg is also known by many as a teacher. He has taught music in the area for 30 years and truly loves teaching. Many of his students have come back from college wanting to see him or invited him to different events celebrating their accomplishments because of his positive impact in their lives.

His wife, Melissa, their children and 2 grandchildren are devastated by what has happened. Greg has always been the person they depend on in moments of crisis and provides the goofy humor that keeps the family laughing. The regular morning walk with their two doggies has suddenly stopped and the fur babies seem to know something is wrong.

Greg needs to focus on healing and learning to walk again, not what is happening to his family or the bills that are adding up. He has so many students now suspended and waiting. All the shows he was supposed to play are going on with a substitute musician. But his family just wants dad back.

This week his youngest daughter, who he has called his little princess since she was born, is graduating high school. His absence is a huge hole and we are reaching out to his daughter helping in any way we can.

If you are able, any amount is greatly appreciated and all donations will go to Greg as the beneficiary. Prayers, blessings, and well wishes are needed as well! Let’s lift him up!

Please share this link so we can get them the help they need!
We will keep you updated as he progresses. Love to you all!
