Help Greg Overcome Health and Theft Crisis

Most of you know Greg Eaton as one of Shagnasty’s valued team members and one of the best cooks in the restaurant industry. Greg has been with us since near the beginning and has played an integral part of our business. We’ve known Greg for over 30 years, having met him on a little street in 5 Points, in Huntsville, Alabama, called O’Shaugnessy Avenue (Shagnasty’s name sake). Greg was an amazing local musician back then and a well known cook at the local Huntsville 5 Points landmark, Mullins Drive-In, where he worked for over 25 years. Greg gained much

knowledge in the restaurant industry at Mullins to carry him through his career. Greg has been a staple in this community over the years and now needs our help.

Greg has been sick with heart issues for several years and has undergone several heart surgeries. He has been in and out of the hospital recently and has been suffering with complications from elevated blood sugar and the medications that have affected his overall medical condition and his eyesight greatly. He and his wife both need to work and have been sharing one vehicle to do so, working opposite shifts just to make ends meet. Greg has had a greater need of late due to losing vision and not being able to work and having to be in and out of the hospital. This has been a great struggle itself and then, a couple of weeks ago, while Greg was recovering at home from being very ill and recently released from the hospital, someone broke into his vehicle outside his home and it was stolen. His vehicle had recently been paid off and due to inflation and rising insurance costs, he had to drop full coverage insurance. Now there is no hope of replacement.

Greg is such a selfless human being always helping others and we would like to help him as best we can with medical expenses and transportation costs so he and his wife may be able to get back and forth and on their feet again.
