Help Greg Malone Fight Cancer

On February 25th, 2024, Greg went to the ER complaining of severe abdominal pain. CT scans revealed a softball-sized mass on his left kidney. On Tuesday, March 19, he was sent to Memphis to have the kidney removed. It was originally believed that the mass was isolated to his kidney. When the surgery team opened him up and got a clear look, they discovered that the cancer had spread to his surrounding organs. An attempt to remove a mass of that size would do more harm than good, so they closed him back up. The next few months are uncertain to say the least.

Greg Malone is a devoted father, husband, and disciple of Jesus Christ. He has never met a stranger. You likely know him as the coffee and donut extraordinaire at Columbus First Baptist Church. A truck driving legend of 35 years, you may know him from the open road. If you're my age, you may know him as the best bus driver there ever was. We are bound and determined to fight this dirty old disease. As you may know, this will be an expensive fight. The Malone family has already been overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion expressed by so many in regards to this crisis. We truly live in the hospitality state.
