College is rough for the best of us. College is even rougher with a learning disability while the economy falls apart, people with the same skin color as you are being disappeared, and you’re transgender in this day and age.

Greg, my former roommate and a young man with incredible ability and work ethic, started school for veterinary nursing with his trusty emotional support cat Captain Crunch, who has made his life at Harcum College much much easier. With one year to go, of course something has to interfere - and this time, it’s money. Captain is on a prescription diet and between his studies and internships, Greg will have very little time to work. His family is NOT an option for Captain, and I am unable to take another animal while AJ undergoes chemotherapy. The only options are rehoming - which would be devastating for both Captain and Greg and completely unnecessary when he has graduated into a marketable field - or raising funds so Greg can make it this year with Captain having his needs met.

Please help if you can. If anyone deserves to be able to keep his emotional support animal in these incredibly difficult times, it’s Greg. I hope our community can come through for this hard working and dedicated young animal enthusiast.
