Help Greg get phalloplasty!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Greg. I’m a 35-year-old trans man from NY. I am Guatemalan and was adopted when I was seven months old. I am very lucky to have a supportive family (both adoptive and biological). I found my birth family within the last few years, which was always a goal of mine.
I also embarked on my health journey as a part of my transition journey. From my highest weight, I have lost 125 pounds. Among other challenges in my life, I have battled with my mental health. These challenges have made me a stronger person. I’m ready to feel complete in my body.
I started hormones in 2010 and have been on testosterone for 15 years now. In 2013, I legally changed my name. In the summer of 2016, I had my top surgery in Albany, NY. That was life-changing. I feel so much more at home in my body. In the summer of 2018, I had a complete hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
This summer I am starting this gofundme for my bottom surgery. I am looking to have phalloplasty with urethral lengthening, scrotoplasty, glansplasty and a vaginectomy. I have struggled a lot with body dysphoria, which has impacted my mental health; this surgery would mean the world to me. I will finally feel whole. I will finally not hate my body. This surgery is life-saving.
I would appreciate any donation or share. Also, if you would like to follow my journey or have any questions I will be posting video updates. I have been saving and have a good start, but need this gofundme to help with all the uncovered expenses. I'm trying to figure out costs so that I can use the next year or so to save money. I have to save for the following: electrolysis (9-12 months worth of sessions), arm physical therapy, flights, accommodation and meals for six weeks, supplies, caregiving and local transportation costs. Certain things such as flights, accommodations and electrolysis are needed prior to surgery. On top of all of this, I will also be out of work for 3-4 months.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and donating if you can. If any money is left over I will donate it to a trans organization to help others like me. Specifically I would like to donate to the Trans Closet Hudson Valley. Their support has really meant so much to me. I want to help them support others.
