In Loving Memory of Brooke Mathews

Our dear friends, Tucker and Greg, had to say goodbye to their loving mother and wife, Brooke Mathews, who passed away at UW Hospital in Madison on 4/27/2025. As a child, Brooke was diagnosed with a serious heart defect, and throughout her life, she underwent several heart surgeries, overcoming the odds given by doctors that she would live to adulthood.

Brooke was the most generous, loving, kindhearted, compassionate, giving, happy, optimistic, selfless, hug-giving, smiling, and animal-loving person you could ever meet. She brought joy to everyone she met, and you couldn't help but smile just seeing her. And even at the end, her selflessness and generosity go on; Brooke was an organ and tissue donor.

Brooke was an amazing wife, mother, librarian, coworker, and friend. Tucker was Brooke's brightest light and provided her most special moments. Seeing him participate in sports and school activities, watching their favorite movie "The Goonies," and trying every new Oreo flavor were just some of the joys Brooke received from being a mom.

Many people have reached out in an effort to support Tucker and Greg. Any donations raised will go directly to her family, specifically to aid in Tucker's education.
